Woah. On Wednesday, I go to Germany.

WOOHOO!!!!

Twenty days in Deutschland. It will be so nice to be gone. Having finished midyears, term two of the year, and half of junior year... Yeah. It's about time for a vacation.

Yesterday, we went to the shop for the first time. We took our gig, Loyaute, into the garage. There, we worked for something like five hours taking out floorboards, sanding her sides, scraping varnish off the rails and vacuuming out the bilge. I'm sooo sore. While I'm in Deutschland, I only miss one day in the shop and one night of "pizza and movies" at Lee's house. I'm actually sad to miss that because Lee said they're going to talk about FINLAND at it. He told me that I don't need to hear any of what they're going to talk about, but I told him that I WANT to hear more about Finland, even though I know what AC is like first hand. He can't ever talk about AC too much - how Norway almost joined, how we aren't going to Quebec in '08 because he didn't like having us in a city like in Genoa, how in Finland there's going to be an all-night expedition to take advantage of the midnight sun... I only want to hear more.

Also, Tess came to the shop. It was such a surprise. Tess is this blond girl from my history class who I've become better friends with this year. She wants to take up sailing again, she really wants to try rowing, she thinks Finland sounds awesome (especially after I told her Dave and Dano might come back with a hot Australian team ;), AND she didn't complain when Lee had her sand the inside of the stern by hand. So it's nice to have another sane girl with me. :)

Three days!
