The gig on New Years Eve with ingenue_the went about as well as a gig can go. Even though we've not really played a B-Movie set together for four years or more and the crowd was a new one (in as much as very few of the old B-Movie crowd were out for it) I think we read the dance-floor nicely; worked out what they wanted and where they needed to be taken.

(I think it because I'm forcing myself to think about a specific thing - making sense of legal restrictions - whereas for the last couple of weeks I've not really thought about anything with any degree of intensity)

That is fantastic!! I'm really glad to hear it -- and, yes, doing it for the sheer joy, versus being in charge of the business logistics, is a huge difference.
