If this is about what I think it is, I thought you handled your response as gracefully as possible, and appreciated your words. I don't know if it went further, away from that thread, and if so, I'm sorry for it.

I feel like I do this every day. realistically, probably more like a couple times a month, though...

I used to like arguing passionately with people on the internet, but I found eventually that it got me upset, ruined my day, and accomplished nothing w/r/t the other party. now I walk away, sometimes hard. and I'm not above insincere apologies, either, if it will get the other party to leave me alone.

I just have no time anymore for people I don't respect. and people I do respect generally have discussions and conversations, not arguments.

I am sorry. I know what it's like to walk away from that sort of thing. I hope that my email didn't add to the mental weight of it all.
