A/N: Ok, so this is my first Vampire Diaries fic. But I HAD to write something Tyler/Caroline related- these two are amazing, seriously. I didn’t really do them justice but I had to get this out of my system.  Apologies too for any grammar/ spelling errors- I was writing this at about 2 o'clock last night. Thanks very much. I'm looking forward to seeing what the writers do with Forwood- I have loved it up til now. Vampire + werewolf was never going to = easy relationship so I kinda like that the writers have begun to look at it so early. The only thing I really don't like is that neither character is really given the opportunity to explain themselves properly. But the speech that Tyler made to Matt gives me real hope for Forwood in the long term. The writers haven't set up some little crush they have set up (on Tyler's side at least) something much more than that. He showed that he cares enough to put her first in a way that even Stefan couldn't with Elena. I will bet that Forwood is part of the long term game.
Ok, sooooooooooo sorry for long forwood rant... I just couldn't help myself :P

I feel the same. Their relationship will never be easy ... I personally don't want it to be ... that's what I enjoy about it! There is so much unexplored potential between them. I too wish there were more scenes with them exploring what is happening to them in relation to each other. I had hoped the confrontation with them by the car would have lasted longer. I wanted her to try and explain to him personally ... NOT through Stefan. I wanted him to personally say goodbye to Caroline ... maybe at the very least leave her a letter. I wish Forward IS the end game. I miss their scenes together *** cross fingers *** that Tyler comes back soon!

Can I butt in and say that I completely agree with you? It's such an epic storyline/romance, not to mention a classic one (RE: Romeo and Juliet). The writers of the show would be seriously bad at their jobs if they let this plot slip through the cracks. But I doubt they have; rather, it seems like they've made a deliberate effort to create the foundation for a long term plot between Caroline and Tyler.

Thanks hun! And I was soooooooooooooo gutted that last week there was hardly even a mention of him- why is no one else distraught at him leaving?!?!?!? :P And I thought Matt and Caroline was kinda cute but I always felt like matt was settling for Caroline and she deserves more than that. Also now that she's all kickass she's kinda outgrown him. Besides the chemistry in t/c scenes is WAY better- it's all in the eyes :P

Thanks very much! I'm going go with I can deal with M/C in the short term but I can't see it lasting long. And he should be back before the end of the series and I don't see them killing off the only werewolf left from mystic falls- jules might well go- but I think there is too much potential for storylines with Tyler for the writers to kill him off any time soon. Well, that's what I'm hoping anyway :P
