"Hey, you busy later? I need some help with choosing new furniture." Eli patted Kevin's shoulder to get his attention. Dongho, who was being babied by Kevin, took the chance to run off.

Kevin bit his lip, looking around the practice room. "Hmm...How about the others?"

"Kibum-hyung's rushing to his company later, Dongho has extra lessons, the other two are going to the gym without Kibum-hyung and I as per normal." Eli explained, looking at Kevin with a questioning look. "You're busy."

"Unfortunately, yes. Xander-hyung asked me out for a food hunt earlier this week. I can't reject, and it's going to take hours because he plans to tour Seoul." Kevin sighed. "I'm sorry!"

"It's okay, you're going out to eat with your favourite eating buddy. I understand." Eli shrugged.

"No! I don't have any favourites!" Kevin argued back defensively.

"Come on, the whole world knows you love playing favourites." Eli rolled his eyes.

"What are you talking about!" Kevin shrieked in his high-pitched shrilly voice. "I don't practise favouritism! I love you guys all the same!"

As if to prove his point, he advanced towards Eli and gave him a big hug.

"Ew, Kevin, you can do that to your overall favourite, Kibum-hyung." Eli made a disgusted face, hands pushing Kevin away.

"He's-He's not my favourite! I'm just close to him because he's my first friend on foreign land!" Kevin stuttered.

"What are you guys talking about? What foreign land?" Kibum appeared suddenly, causing Kevin to turn into a red tomato within a heartbeat.

"Nothing!" Kevin quickly replied, afraid of what Eli might say if he didn't cut in. Eli shrugged, knowing Kevin's unspoken plead.

Kibum pouted, clearly unamused, and continued going around the room to find something embarrassing to poke fun at.

"Yeah, he's not your favourite, all right. You so did not just blush like a highschool girl." Eli said sarcastically with a smile.

"You know I hate being called a girl!" Kevin hit Eli's arm and pouted.

"What girl? Is Kevin being a girl again?"

"Hyung!" Kevin frowned, slapping Alexander's thighs. "I'm NOT a girl!"

"Aw, but you're so preeeetty!" Alexander cooed, pinching Kevin's cheeks. "Isn't he, Eli?"

"Mm." Eli nodded, head looking somewhere else. Kevin shrugged it off as Eli being slightly rude.

-

"Oh, look, your favourite laughing buddy." Eli nudged Kevin, causing Kevin to glare back.

"I said-"

"Kevin! You wouldn't believe this! Soohyun-hyung was checking this girl out in the gym while running on the treadmill, and then he fell like that- bam!"

Kevin laughed exaggeratedly as Kiseop held his own stomach while laughing. "Bam! Ouch, it must have hurt a lot!"

"Not really? But his pride is all gone. Damn, you should have come to the gym earlier on, it was hilarious!"

"Kiseop-ah, enough." Soohyun said grimly, entering with a sigh.

"Hyung, did she look very good?" Kevin teased with a cheeky grin.

"Kev, I'm not going to sing with you anymore." Soohyun threatened lamely.

Kevin gasped, those words having a stronger impact than anyone thought it would have. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"

"Yeah, you're his favourite singing partner!" Eli exclaimed jokingly, as Kevin turned to frown at him.

"I said I don't play favourites!"

"Oh, we'll see in five, four, three, two-"

"Wow! Big crowd!" Kibum grinned dumbly, throwing a PiroPiro seat cushion towards Kevin. "Hah, I smuggled it out. Something extra for your collection."

Kevin blushed slightly, trying to cough away his awkwardness, knowing Eli was staring at him. "Thanks, hyung."

Kibum looked slightly disappointed. "Not the reaction I was looking for. I thought I'd see you jump up cutely again."

Kevin gave Eli a sideways glance, before deciding Kibum was more important. Kevin then jumped up and glomped Kibum. "I love you, hyung!"

"Ah, that's more normal." Kibum laughed, messing up Kevin's hair lovingly.

Eli silently snickered. Kevin is too naive sometimes.

-

"Then what is Dongho?" Kevin continued their unfinished conversation one day, as if resigning to his fate.

"Your favourite dongsaeng." Eli shrugged.

"That's unfair! He's the only one younger than me!" Kevin pouted.

"Your favourite baby then!" Eli exclaimed as soon as the idea struck him. "The one you like to cuddle and feed."

"..." Kevin found it hard to argue against that. "Well, you must have a favourite too!"

“Nope.” Eli shrugged with an innocent face. “I’m very fair.”

“Im-pos-si-ble.” Kevin said each word carefully, pressing his lips together as he thought hard. “There must be just one person…”

“I’m afraid that even if I gave you forever, you wouldn’t ever find that person.” Eli whistled nonchalantly. “Doesn’t exist~!”

-

“Eli!” Alexander frowned with much concentration, beckoning the younger over.

Kevin looked curiously from his position against Kibum, since he was too tired to join in the game the rest of the members were playing with Kibum.

“Yeah?” Eli raised his eyebrows, leaving his spot from the game despite grumbles of protest. “What?”

“I can’t get the rap rhythm.” Alexander pouted sadly. “Help me~?”

Kevin thought he saw Eli gulped.

“Sure.” Eli nodded coolly as usual. “Starting from the chorus, okay?”

“Yes!” Alexander agreed enthusiastically. “You’re the best, Kyungjae-ah~! Your Korean name is so cute, hehe!”

And was that a tint of pink he sees on Eli’s cheeks?

-

“Alexander Lee Eusebio.” Kevin announced, sitting next to Eli on the sofa. “He’s your favourite.”

“What? How is that possible?” Eli scoffed, and hoped Kevin missed his averting eyes. “Are you just assuming that because we are both rappers?”

“He’s not your favourite favourite.” Kevin tried explaining. “But you like him. A lot. As much as I don’t really want to tell you this, but you like him the way I…the way I like Kibummie-hyung.”

Eli stared at Kevin, frowning slightly. “I don’t even act like you.”

“So?” Kevin stuck out a tongue. “I’m right, am I not? You do! Hehehe!”

“Whatever.” The older rolled his eyes, about to walk away when Kevin caught his wrist.

“Why don’t we do this?”

-

“Where is he?” Alexander frowned, shifting his weight from foot to foot. “I’m going to be recognised soon if I keep waiting! Aish, that kid.”

“Sorry to keep you waiting.” Eli smiled, presenting a bouquet of roses to Alexander. “Happy Valentine’s.”

Alexander blinked, raising his sunglasses so he could see the person better, just in case he mistook that voice. “Eli?”

“Kevin…set us up.” Eli explained, raising a hand at a comfortable distance away from Alexander. “Will you allow me to be your Valentine’s?”

The older bit his lip with a bright blush evident, and a shy nod was all he could give as a reply.

-

“Eli said there was a movie marathon, and I knew something was off.” Kibum laughed, pulling Kevin over to his side and messing up the younger’s hair. “Why is it only us? Something you want to tell me?”

Kevin turned bright red under the dim light, nodding unsurely with tightly-shut eyes. He still needed a little more time to organise his thoughts and speak his mind, just a little!

“Hm?” Kibum hummed gently, making some motions that Kevin didn’t know since he couldn’t see. Two hands were placed on his shoulders, and he could feel a warm breath tickling his skin. “I have something to say first.”

Kevin opened his eyes wide when he realised Kibum had his closed, face insanely close to his own. His eyes fluttered close once more, when he felt a soft pair of lips against his, gently rubbing.

Kibum pulled away and chuckled. “I’m sorry, I don’t really know how to kiss.”

“Hyung…” Kevin blinked, voice trembling.

The older smiled, arms open wide. “Come here.”

“Hyung!”

-

Kevin grinned, giggling when he and Eli exchanged glances. “You should thank me!”

“Well, seems like you owe me a word of thanks too.” Eli laughed, smiling unconsciously.

“Thank you!” Kevin said chirpily, moving over to Eli and giving him a tight hug. “If not for you, Kibummie-hyung and I would die with those words in our head unsaid.”

“I know, and thank you for your help too.” Eli chuckled, hand going around Kevin’s body and returning the hug. “So, what sort of favourite am I?”

“Elison Kim Kyungjae!” Kevin scrunched up his nose, pulling away. “You…!”

The older stared straight into his eyes, waiting expectantly, knowing Kevin had one in mind probably from long ago.

“My favourite friend?” Kevin giggled, all mock anger from his face dissolving away. “The one that knows me sort of best. Because Kibummie-hyung knows me best!”

“Tch.” Eli snickered. “Stop flaunting your Kibum-hyung here and there, I have my Xander-hyung too, you know.”

“Then flaunt him~!” Kevin laughed, giving Eli a small punch on the shoulders. “Pst. He’d like that very much.”

Their conversation was cut short when Alexander walked in and looked suspiciously at Kevin.

“Hyung!” Kevin called out, winking to Eli. “Eli kept saying how you’re the best, it’s so annoying!”

Alexander blushed, sticking out a tongue at Kevin anyway. “Then go find your Kibummie and leave us alone!”

“Humpfh!” Kevin pouted, laughing as he walked away.

Eli would probably get kissed senseless by the older after he left. The older boy would then have to help Kevin later, too, as all favourite friends would do.

Kevin giggled as he closed the door, imagining what might be happening inside.
