Kim Kibum was your average school mate, with average performance in school, average athletic abilities, and...not-so-average looks. Really, he would be just like any other guy in school. If, you don’t have eyes.
However, Kibum has a problem with his face. He absolutely hates attention, and his face wasn’t helping his situation. This particular part of his body has also caused him some troubles with making friends.
-
“You guys know what? I made friends with Kim Kibum.” The guy smirked, face swollen with pride.
Kibum raised his eyebrow from his hidden corner at this newly-made friend.
“REALLY? Can you please give me his number?” A girl asked, giving her sweetest smile.
“Not so easy, maybe if you...”
-
So anyway, Kibum was sick of having friends who weren’t really...well, friends.
Wait, there’s another issue!
Peter Parker’s uncle once said, “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Kibum thinks, “With great looks comes great expectations.”
More often than not, Kibum would be singled out to answer questions asked by teachers. More often than not, Kibum doesn’t know the answer to them. Everyone would then turn to him, disappointment painted all over their faces, causing Kibum to feel sick.
Heck, he doesn’t really have average performance in school. Instead, he struggles with his Sciences, can’t make sense of Mathematics and fails English.
One day, one fine day, Kibum might just want to screw this face of his.

Now, say hello to your average nerd, Kevin Woo. Look up the dictionary for the word “nerd”, and you realise that he is a living definition. Excels in every subject (except Physical Education. Kevin begs his teacher to give him an A, but he refused to.), horrible fashion sense, bad hair days that seeming haunt everyday, can’t talk to girls, easily ignored. See? Living definition.
Kevin’s also very weird. He finds it disturbing that his school does not have any bullying cases. For one, he would love to be the victim of bullying. Oh no, he isn’t masochistic, for sure. He just always had this little dream he would like to see come true.
-
“You nerd, get your wallet out and give me your assignments!” Kevin pictures three bullies surrounding him, wearing menacing glares and sticking out their hands to get what they want.
“No, I do not want to.” Kevin smiles at one of them.
“You-“ A fist comes Kevin’s way, aiming at his lower jaw. Kevin tiptoes and move to his left, successfully avoiding the other hand that almost grabbed his wrist.
“Your fist was 0.6m away from my lower jaw horizontally.” Kevin states as he kneels down and crawls to his right. “It’s distance was 0.8m vertically, thus it was exactly 1m away from my jaw.”
Kevin looks at the three idiots who all don’t get him. “Since your hand was by your side most of the time, it has the tendency to remain in its rest position.”
“Thus, the speed of your fist coming at me is so slow that I had the chance to plan my next move, moving away from you who was trying to reach my wrist, 0.76m away from you.”
The three looks at Kevin in awe.
“Don’t get it? Beg me and I might consider being your Physics teacher.”
-
If you think Kevin is amazing in Physics, you’re wrong. Physics is his worst subject, no kidding. 97% is such a horrible grade, thus Kevin worries a lot about finding a future university. To improve his portfolio, Kevin decides to volunteer himself to be a studying partner for those who just can’t do well.
He needs to get into university, he needs to get into university.
And so he signed his name.

Turn around. See that smiling guy? That’s Alexander Lee Eusebio. No, his surname is not Lee, it’s Eusebio. Noisy, friendly, mixed. These three words sums up who he is.

Next, it is-

I was kidding. But that’s Xander-style joke. He normally gives you the briefest idea of a situation, convince you that’s really all, and then starts babbling every detail of the situation. He’s your very friendly gossip guy. Interested in every piece of news, tells it to the whole world. But he’s nice. Get on his good side, bribe him with food and you’re safe from all the gossip.
He’s usually loud, so you rarely find him in Mathematics and Science classes. He takes them, but the more eye-catching part of his timetable was the different language classes. Other than compulsory Korean classes, Alexander takes English, Japanese and Portuguese. With him coming from Macau, Hongkong, learning English from young and studying Japanese prior to him migrating to Korea, it’s no wonder he excels in the languages he takes up. Oh, he would have taken more classes and answer every question without a sweat, but the school doesn’t offer them. He shrugs, it doesn’t matter much, as long as he dropped most of his most horrible subjects. Goodbye, Biology!

That voice you hear is actually Shin Soohyun’s. Yes, he doesn’t really know how to keep quiet. His voice might be nice, but we really do not need to hear it 24/7. He is pretty problematic a student, taking his after school activities more seriously than his studies. Soccer practices takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays. His dance practices are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays. Singing? Well, as you see, everyday.
The thing is, Soohyun isn’t worried about his future at all. Yes, he’s talented enough to become a super star. But seriously? He’s only passing Korean. And I mean borderline pass. This year end, he’ll be taking another fate-deciding examination. Everyone agrees that he wouldn’t make it.
Unless he gets his mind off soccer,
off dancing,
off singing.

Elison Kim, also Eli. No, don’t pronounce it as Elly, he’ll strangle you with those arms (I’m kidding). A heartbreaker. Sort of. He doesn’t play with girls’ hearts, more like he doesn’t dare to reject them. So he leads them on and when they find him acting the same way to another girl...well, let’s skip the part on how violent some girls are, alright?
A Korean American, which means Korean blood but born in America. That explains his fluency in English and failure in Korean. Okay, maybe not, but that’s the case. Eli constantly gets into trouble for looking like a gangster, although he does nothing of that sort. It’s the piercings, you see, he has a lot. Thus, people who don’t know better usually shun him, afraid that he’ll beat them up.
The thing is, those arms are really not for fighting. Eli was brought up by a chef, so he grew up helping out in the kitchen, sometimes having to handle livestock. He doesn’t pick up fights...nor really know how to fight.
But he’s learning all right, he’s learning Taekwondo!
Does that scare you?
No? Uh...well, you’re smart. He just started learning it.

RUN!
NOW.
“Hello.”
A pair of eyes looks at you curiously, an unrecognisable glint in those dark pupils.
Too late.
“What’s your name? My name is Shin Dongho.”
At first glance, he’d look like the perfect cuddle-able boy, someone whom everyone wants a pinch of. At second glance, you start wondering why he sits alone.
“Do you know? There’s two lines of Shin. There is the Goryeong Shin, and the other is the Pyeongsan Shin. I belong to the rarer one, Goryeong Shin, which makes up 17% of the population with the same family name as me.” He smiles widely at you, and you stare back.
“Hmm, are you by any chance a Kim?”
Yes, if you have not realised by now, Dongho is a boy passionate about family name histories. Give him a surname and he’ll babble on different details you never knew. You might think it’s still possible to make friends with him. Sure, go on. Just don’t come running when all he does is ask you about your parents’ names, your grandparents’ names, your great-grandparents’ names, your great great-
You get it.

Okay people, do not worry. I'm not leaving Kiseop out. I just don't want all of them to be students, so I gave him a pretty special role. I don't think he'll be very minor, so Kiseop fans, DO NOT WORRY :D By the way, can anyone give me and idea what to do with Eli, Alexander and Kiseop? I can't write OT3 so I'm really sorry. But I don't know how to pair them up either, and with whom. The easiest choice is to bring in Hyungjoon, but if you guys have any other ideas, feel free to comment :D So tell me okay?
And this story will only properly commence during early November, after my finals. Sorry!
Oh, future chapters might not be written in this style. This is just the intro-ing bit. Do tell me if it's bad, because I wouldn't continue it then :D Will try to come up with a better idea :DD
