Chapter 1

“Kyujong-ah.” Hyunjoong called out. “I’ve a dare for you.”

“My dear cousin.” Kyujong replied with a loving but obviously fake voice. “You just came to school and decided to give me a dare. Name it.”

“Cool.” Hyunjoong grinned. “Well, since you’re every girl’s dream in this school...I dare you to change your target.”

“What?” Kyujong cocked his head to his left, not understand what Hyunjoong was trying to get through. “Repeat in Korean.”

“I was speaking Korean.” Hyunjoong stood akimbo in mock anger. “Get a boy this time. And I’ll choose the target for you.”

“A boy...” Kyujong frowned.

“Don’t dare?” Hyunjoong prodded, knowing exactly what Kyujong’s weakness was.

“I dare.” Kyujong smirked, although he was still hesitating beneath that cool disguise. “Name him.”

“Mmm. The new transfer student who’s quiet.” Hyunjoong shrugged.

“Oh? Why are our two princes speaking about the new transfer student?” Jungmin chirped as he joined the two. “I thought you two only speak about things concerning you.”

“That makes them so conceited.” Hyungjoon chuckled, joining the three. “Eww...Jungmin, you’re a fashion disaster.”

Hyungjoon pointed at Jungmin who was wearing a bright red wifebeater with an even brighter orange jacket. Jungmin’s skinny jeans were light blue and his shoes were shining silver.

“And a glaring one.” Kyujong nodded in agreement.

As if to fit the description, Jungmin immediately glared at the other three.

“No, Kyujong didn’t mean that glare.” Hyunjoong sweatdropped. “Did someone change your wardrobe?”

“Shut up.” Jungmin snapped. “Anyway, what about the transfer student?”

“What transfer student?” Hyungjoon being the last to join the group was confused. “You mean err....Young...errrrr....”

“Youngsaeng.” Jungmin supplied.

Kyujong laughed a little. His target was someone with a name “eternal life”....Right.

“Kyujong’s going to try to get him.” Hyunjoong smirked, telling the other two so there was going to be no way Kyujong can pull out. Not if his pride disallows it.

“WHAT?!” Jungmin shrieked, like a girl.

Hyungjoon frowned. “You’re going to tarnish our reputation if you continue screaming like a girl. We’re the four princes of this school and one of us sounds so girly. Ouch and ewwww.”

“Shut up!” Jungmin rolled his eyes. “You don’t know enough and so you think it’s alright. Youngsaeng is the lone son of Kyujong’s dad’s rival company. They’ve been fighting for almost every deal with other companies and the last I heard, Youngsaeng is going to get married once he becomes 7649 days old.”

“Stop using weird terms.” Hyunjoong complained. “You know I’m super bad in maths.”

“No you’re not.” Jungmin countered. “You failed maths only to stay back in school for one more year so your father will not make you work in his company.”

“SHH!” Hyunjoong hissed. “If anyone hears that, I’m gonna die.”

“Pretty good plan I might say, but it wouldn’t work for us three though.” Hyungjoon sighed. “He’s lucky that his father owns a bank.”

“And maths is important.” Jungmin nodded with a sigh. “Anyway, 7649 days old is 21 years old in usual terms.”

Kyujong frowned. “How many days is he away from 21 years old?”

Jungmin frowned along. “Am I really suppose to work that out?”

Hyungjoon chortled. “Yes, our maths genius. Go work it out.”

“I’m not a maths genius. If you three used your brains a little more, you’ll know it isn’t hard to work out such sums.” Jungmin used this chance to knock the trio’s head. “549 days?”

Hyunjoong raised his hands enthusiastically. “I know! That’s over a year!”

“Correct.” Jungmin nodded and patted Hyunjoong’s head as if he was a teacher and Hyunjoong was a pre-schooler. “So Kyujong has less than 2 years to get Youngsaeng to change his sexual preference.”

Hyungjoon pondered as Kyujong was doing the same. “It sounds pretty hard? Is Kyujong up for it?”

Kyujong glared at Hyungjoon. “Don’t doubt what I can do.”

Hyungjoon shrugged. “Trying to help?”

“I’m not finished. He’s super quiet and if you can get him to talk for long, it’s already a big step forward. I never heard of him having any girlfriend so you can easily make him confused about who he really likes. Boys or girls. HOWEVER. That means it’ll probably be hard for you to get him because you have many steps to go through. AND, your father might find out that you’re befriending his rival company’s son and you might probably die a horrible death.” Jungmin blabbered on and on.

Hyungjoon scratched his head not understanding Jungmin’s last sentence. “Or your father might ask you to get Youngsaeng to cripple his father’s company.”

“BUT THAT’S HIGHLY IMPOSSIBLE, YOU IDIOT!” Jungmin screeched.

Kyujong bit his lips and nodded. “I’ll go find out more by myself.”

The trio watched their leader leave and two of them started questioning Hyunjoong.

“Why the sudden dare?” Jungmin queried like he was a reporter as he held an imaginary microphone.

Hyungjoon joined the “fun” and tugged Hyunjoong. “What really happened before we came?”

Hyunjoong smirked. “I wanted to play with his pride, and his sexual orientation. He doesn’t turn down any dares and I was seeing if he would turn down this one. He didn’t, so...there.”

Hyunjoong wowed the duo.

“Hyunjoong, you’re great.”

“I wonder what’ll happen.” Hyungjoon widened his eyes in great interest. “Maybe they’ll both become homosexual and despite all the obstacles, they’ll get together. Both companies will crumble and they’ll start a new company that’ll get all the business the two crumbled companies were suppose to have and get.”

Three girls advanced towards the trio. “What midnight drama are you cheeky three talking about?”

“Midnight drama?” Hyunjoong laughed. “It’s an afternoon one.”
