This option allows you to toggle on and off the display of subject icons in comments. "Subject icons" are the small optional icons accessible from the long comment form on Reply Pages (pages with a URL ending in "?mode=reply") by clicking on the small gray smiley face next to the "Subject" input form. This option is applicable only if the journal is using customized comment pages, and is only available on one layout:
