Adding linklist support to Gradient Strip

Apr 10, 2006 18:05

This lack has been bugging me since I switched to Gradient Strip on my other journals. An example may be seen at: http://camomiletea.livejournal.com/?s2id=10802076

code )

function print, class page, layout gradient strip, function print_linklist

sounds like a bug report to me.

also, this version of Page::print() doesn't include the ads or navigation strip. might be something to add. just a suggestion, not a requirement.

yay for adding functionality to layouts. ^_^

I think that alsatia didn't plan on adding linklist support...

the devs have added functionality to the layouts, such as tags, after the initial import.

might be nice to add it. *shrug*

I didn't add it because 2 weeks wasn't long enough to learn S2 and design a complete layout from scratch, so I didn't add extra things that I knew I couldn't do well before the deadline. I expected devs to add link lists, page summaries, etc. later and was really surprised that hadn't happened.

So yes, it would be fabulous if someone submitted a bug report, but considering the length of time patches take to go live, it's nice to have instructions for how people can add it in the meantime.
