Smoke rose out of the building as I walked past. They're tearing the roof off, I noticed. If I weren't so tired, I might have climbed the ladder to assist them. I needed to tear something apart. Just so you know, I care.
It's been a long time since we've spoken and I will admit that seeing this entry and remembering you brought a smile to my face. You may recall that smiles are a rare occurrence for me.
I'm glad to see signs of life from you though it seems that you're not in the happiest of mind sets.
Feel free to get back to me if you like. I'd certainly welcome a chat with an old friend. You always had a way of making me feel like... I don't know... Like an equal.
Anyway, I'd be more than happy to hear from you again.

And would it have been worth it, after all,
After the cups, the marmalade, the tea,
Among the porcelain, among some talk of you and me,
Would it have been worth while,
To have bitten off the matter with a smile,
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
To roll it toward some overwhelming question,
To say: “I am Lazarus, come from the dead,
Come back to tell you all, I shall tell you all”-
If one, settling a pillow by her head,
Should say: “That is not what I meant at all.
That is not it, at all.”
