Octoberfest 2008

Our team won. YEY!!!! Overall winner. Although I didn't participate in the sport I signed up for it was nice to be in the team that won first place.

The day before I get to play in the Octoberfest games I sprained my ankle. Even worse the spraining happened yesterday morning. I had to go thru an office day with a sprained ankle.

It happened when I was going to the training in Pioneer Mall in Boni. I took the bus since it can take me there 1 way straight instead of taking a jeep going to MRT.

Solution to foggy glasses: Ye good ole spit

Now I can play my hardest in any sports with my sports goggles. And what's good with this is that I can reimburse this with my medical allowance which was just renewed last September. hehehe. Another good thing about this is that the goggles only cost half of the allowance. Yehey!!!!

I just received the letter stating that effective September 1, I am to be at the next level (Software Engineer). In addition to that, I also received the salary increase that I was expecting. As in bull's eye. I don't know if I have mild powers of clairvoyance or someone leaked to the HR about my expected salary increase and just pegged it there ( Read more... )

This is where I get my promotion's worth (este prove). Now that the new platform is up there have been abends right and left. One of my objectives now is to be able to respond to an abend (a fairly complicated one) without seeking help from the lead.

Weee!!!  I can't wait until I get promoted. An officemate of mine said that due to my rating, I'll get the increase that exceeds my expectations. Yey!!!

I just learned about the conflict in our being forced not to go to work. If we did follow the company's goal, we might be further in the drink with the client. But if we follow the client's goal, our salary increases come the fiscal year might be in jeopardy. The dilemma. Grrrr!!!! I don't want my increase in salary to just be payment for tax.
