"The Fundamentals of Caring" Netflix Original- Review
Trevor has a form of Muscular Dystrophy and a somewhat crazy sense of humor.
That humor was the reason they had a hard time finding a caregiver. Enter Ben a broken hearted man that was just looking for a job.
Trevor had a sort of obsession with roadside attractions, and Ben had finally convinced him to take a week long trip to visit several of them. As with many road trip movies they ended up picking up a couple people along the way. Trevor has a thing for Dot which was one of them, and relationships with the characters build.
This was a very clever movie, a nice mix of a serious disease and some silly jokes. You're able to build some care for the characters as the movie plays out which is nice. I really like this movie, it wasn't full of action, or anything to keep you glued to the screen but it has a lot of heart! I even had a few joyous tears toward the end! I'd give this movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
