I LOVE SOAD! I particularly like 'toxicity' (the album). I would have their drummer's babies, I think he's so good. In fact, I havent' found a drummer as worthy of watching since dave Lombardo was with Slayer.
So, the above might tell you something aout my musical tastes! What songs am I listening to regularly? 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' - Arctic Monkeys 'Black devil car' - Jamiroquai 'A little less conversation...' Elvis vs JXL 'Give me your love' - Reef 'Take it off' - The Donnas
Hi, I stumbled onto your journal and thought I would reply. I am all about helping ppl with surveys.
1. Greenday - Basketcase 2. The Fugees - Killing Me Softly 3. Loveage - Book of the Month 4. Nina Simone - Feeling Good (Muse has an awesome version also) 5. Jean Grae - Thank Ya
I'm Khara. Will download Joan. What is she like or is there nothing to compare? I really rec Loveage. There is really nothing I have heard to compare but I love them so much.
Hey, Luv! Long time! Glad to see your posts! *grins*
I like your list; I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with SOAD, but I'll check it out! The Gnarls Barkley track is cool, as is the Foo Fighters one...I haven't listened to any Joan for ages, and I've not heard that version of OTR (but I'll give it a listen).
My faves? Geez, I'm such the musical whore it isn't funny. There's so many tunes swirling about right now...how about a baker's dozen? I know, I just can't conform...
GRANDADDY - 'Elevate Myself' BLONDIE vs THE DOORS - 'Rapture Riders' BITTER:SWEET - 'Dirty Laundry' CAT A TAC - 'Devil' GOLDFRAPP - 'Slide In' MARBLES - 'Out Of Zone' AFRIKA BAMBAATA w/ Gary Numan - 'Metal' R.E.M. - 'The One I Love' (all time favourite) MOODSWINGS - 'Spiritual High (Part III)' THE LEMONHEADS - 'It's A Shame About Ray' THE ROLLING STONES - 'Sympathy For The Devil' U 2 - 'Pride' MORRISSEY - 'Suedehead'

I used to be into the slash metal, back in the day, and that last one always made me smile, and my ex, loved them too.
Other than the Cult and Joan Baez, I am not sure I've heard any of the others anyone else has put. I'll have to give them a listen.
