Gibbs was-for a brief moment-unsure how to handle Tony’s current attempt to ‘fix things’. love how much you manage to layer in with so few words and creative use of punctuation.

Which comment segues into your discussion of writing style, Gibbs and DiNozzo, I like your exposition.

Thanks. I'm having fun with punctuation. I know Gibbs is a hardened Marine but I wanted to create a little self doubt on his part.

Glad you liked the writing style bit and the thump tie in. I thought they glossed over that a little in Angel of Death/Bury your Dead.

I'm worried that Gibbs might be underestimating Tony's deep-rooted insecurity. This is such a perfect explanation for Gibbs's behaviour... now he just needs to make sure that Tony *does* understand!

I'm a little worried too. At times I wonder whether anything Gibbs says will ever be enough to get Tony to understand.
