Dwarfers shipwrecked and comatose again

So, Red Dwarf is getting a new series. They’ll be recording six new episodes in November for broadcast in February 2012. Hhm. I’m not sure whether this is good news or bad news for me. I really enjoyed Red Dwarf towards the middle of its run. The writing was really clever and the way they wove one of the episodes around a genuine event was pure

I don't know if I can bear to watch or not! That 3 parter on Dave was AWFUL! And I didn't really like the show after Rob Grant left either. I have so many favourite lines but I think one of the best is Rimmer, when making a tearful farewell, saying: "Over the years I've come to think of you as...people I met." Snorfle!

LOL! I'd forgotten that one. Delivered so deadpan and spot on by our favourite smeg head. There were so many great lines and the two obviously worked well as a writing partnership. It's such a shame Grant left because, like you say, the 3 parter was awful. Hope it's improved since then (although apparently the viewing figures weren't bad for Dave). I think I'll give the first ep and go and then make a decision.

Oooh. I assume it's going to be airing on the BBC? I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Hiya. Unfortunately I don't think it will be on the BBC although I could be wrong. The last 3 parter aired first on Dave (UK cable/satellite station) and it seems this one is going the same way. Mind you it's very likely to end up online so you'll be able to catch it somewhere. Incidentally, DW starts again shortly. You'll definitely be able to get that on the beeb. ;-)
