Battered and Bruised...

As some of you know, this past weekend I attended a Western Circle event, and came away with a few bruises. One of these is the back of my knee, which is not so compatible with an altitude challenging campus like HSU. I have classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Monday and Wednesday also including two hours of Bellydance in the afternoons. ( Read more... )

Pain is weakness leaving the body! (or blood leaving the body...one of the two).

Perhaps the solution is to wear spikier clothing, so as to discourage excessive jostling? Maybe carrying your sword around would have a similar effect...

And what book is the quote from?

HA!! I was totally picturing China Mieville as this feminist type woman, maybe. Then I got to the end of the book, and there's a picture of the author. He's a very beefy guy with a shaved head and a ring in one ear, he looks like a boxer lmao!!

My sympathies on your hurt knee. I hurt my knee this last weekend as well when snow boarding down melting snow. Twisted it apparently rather well, and it is still uncomfortable, although I do not have to climb mini mountains to get around! That really sucks how your still getting battered throughout your day; it's weird how owies seem to have some kinda homing device on them.
