Title: Boyfriend Trouble
Pairing/group: SakurAiba, Junba
Rating: PG to PG-13
“Please be my boyfriend Masaki?” Matsumoto Jun begged as he bowed to his classmate and friend.
Aiba Masaki just stood there looking at Jun as he kept his head bowed.
“No,” came his reply, making Jun’s head snap up and a look of disbelief and panic settle across his face.
“Masaki please, I need you to date me, if you don’t I might not live long enough to see next week if you don’t.”
Masaki looked at Jun’s panicked face and shook his head. “I don’t have time to deal with this right now Jun; can’t you find someone else to help you?”
“Someone else! How? I just can’t just walk up to the next guy I see and be all like ‘Hey, date me,’ and them be cool with it! It has to be you, look it’s just two weeks, that’s all I am asking for and then you would be home free.”
Masaki rolled his eyes as he watched Jun try and give him his best puppy eyes. Masaki let a sigh out, “I don’t have time, if you don’t remember I am trying to get into college and if you can’t recall, that’s really fucking hard for some of us!”
“Ma-chan, I am just asking for is a bit of your time and your name. All I really need from you is to help get my creepy stalker off my back. The worst that would happen is you might have to suffer a ‘date’ or two with me. Is that really so bad?”
Masaki couldn’t help but find it a little funny at how hard Jun was trying to get him to agree to his silly plan. If this stalker was really as persistence as Jun has claimed them to be, pretending to be gay would most likely not work. After looking to Jun’s big, begging eyes once more Masaki could feel himself giving in and before he could change his mind he felt the word ‘fine’ slip out of his mouth.
Masaki watched as Juns face turned from its puppy dog pouting into a wide grin, “Thank you so much Masaki!” Jun exclaimed as he bounced up from the desk he had been sitting on.
“There will be a few rules; one, don’t call me by any weird pet name, things like babe, sweetheart and hun are out. Two, you can’t cut into my study time, I need it. Three, you buy me lunch for the next two weeks.”
“Ehhhh?” Jun let out with a big breath of air, “lunch for two weeks! I’ll be broke.”
“Well Jun-chan, if I am to be dating you, you best make it look real, and I think buying me lunch will help.” Masaki said. Jun really hated it when his happy-go-lucky friend showed his more devious side.
“Fine I can handle that,” Jun said as he watched Masaki pack his school books into his bag. “See you tomorrow,” and with that Masaki watched Jun head out the classroom door. Letting out a sigh, he couldn’t help but wonder what he just got himself into.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It had been two full days since Masaki had started this charade with Jun and he was already regretting it.
On the first day Jun had announced to the class, (without asking Masaki first) that they were now dating. The news traveled fast in the all-boys school. And by lunch everyone knew about it, including Juns stalker.
Turned out that his stalker was an underclassman by the name of Ninomiya Kazunari. Masaki had the honor of meeting him when he slammed open the classroom door, making Masaki, the teacher and the students all jump. Ninomiya looked around the classroom till his eyes found Masaki’s. If looks could kill Masaki was sure he would have been dead that very moment, Ninomiya only stopped his threating look to Masaki once their teacher asked if there was something he needed. Ninomiya shook his head and shut the door; Masaki could hear Ninomiya run off. Sadly that was just the start of it.
The next day the pranks started, at first it wasn’t really anything that he couldn’t handle, just a few harmless ones. Like finding his school shoes wet and note warning him to stay away from Jun.
When Masaki showed Jun the notes, Jun sighed and put his head in his hands. “What in hell did I do to deserve this Ma-kun?”
Masaki looked to Jun and knocked his shoulder playfully with his own, “hey don’t worry about it, a few notes are not going to scare me off. I said I would help you, plus you still owe me more lunches.” Masaki said with a bright smile on his face. He hated seeing his friend so worried, but he couldn’t help but wonder what Jun had done to get this Ninomiya person so interested in him.
Was it because he was popular? Masaki wouldn’t deny that Matsumoto Jun easily one of the school best looking boys. He was smart, funny, was caption of the soccer team and even though they went to an all-boys-school, Jun still had girls (and even some boys) falling for him. Masaki thought that maybe Ninomiya was one of Juns fan boys and was just starting to take things a bit too far. Even with Masaki pretending to be Jun’s boyfriend, Ninomiya didn’t seem like he would back down anything soon. Getting up from Jun side Masaki turned around and looked at him, “you just leave this to me Jun-chan, I’ll get Ninomiya off your back you just go to practice okay.”
Nodding his head Jun said thanks to Masaki and headed off to the locker rooms. No the only thing Masaki had left to do was find Ninomiya and talk to him. He was hoping he could get him to back off and leave Jun alone. Masaki first when to Ninomiya’s home classroom and asked one of Ninomiya’s classmates if he was there. After finding out that the one he was looking for had left just a few minutes before he had come, Masaki tried to think of were Ninomiya might have gone too. It then suddenly hit him, Jun had practice, He would bet that that is where he would find Ninomiya, so Masaki started to make his way to the playing fields.
Jun and his team was already out on the field by the time Masaki had made it out there. Looking around, Masaki tried to find were Ninomiya might be. But just at first glance he couldn’t find him at all. So Masaki went to plan two, he started to make his way over to the stands. If Masaki wanted to watch someone practice soccer but not have them see him he would hide in the stands or maybe behind them. Once Masaki got over there he started his search, Ninomiya was not in the stands so Masaki climbed down them and headed behind. It was the third one he searched that he found Ninomiya. He was over in the corner, peeking out from between the gaps of the setting. Masaki gave Ninomiya a few moments to notice him, but the later was so intent on watching his target he didn’t give any mind to Masaki. So Masaki made a soft coughing noise to grab Ninomiya’s attention. Ninomiya spun around so fast at Masaki’s cough; he was surprised that Ninomiya didn’t pull something.
“What are you doing here?” Ninomiya spat out in a cool tone as he glared at Masaki.
Masaki, unfazed by the venom that Ninomiya was sending his way just smiled and came over to him. “Well I was hoping to talk to you,” Masaki said as his watched Ninomiya’s eyes narrow at his statement.
“Why?” Came the curt reply.
“Well, I thought it would be best to get to know you better, you know as you seem to be stalking my…Ur, boyfriend?”
“So you’re just here to rub it in huh?” Masaki could hear the anger in Ninomiya’s voice. “Well you don’t need to, I already know, and I will make you regret it.”
Masaki swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat at Ninomiya’s words. Masaki couldn’t help but think that he was just a little bit crazy at this point. “Look, I’m just wanting to talk to you about this, there is really no reason to get so defensive about. Believe me I didn’t want to hurt your feelings by this at all.” Masaki said as he tried to move closer to Ninomiya.
“I don’t want to talk about it at all,”Ninomiya exclaimed. “I will make Matsumoto-san mine, so you better watch it,” and with that Ninomiya grabbed his school bad and walked past Masaki, making sure that his shoulder slammed into his.
Masaki watched as Ninomiya left the space under the stands, what the hell did he get himself into.
Rubbing his sore shoulder Masaki came out from under the stands and started to make his way back up to the school trying to think about some way that he could get Ninomiya off Jun’s back yet make sure he wasn’t murdered in the proses. Masaki was so deep in thought that he never herd the warning call for the stray soccer ball that was headed his way and before he could figure out what had happened, stars exploded behind his eyes and then everything was dark.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
When Masaki opened his eyes he thought he was looking into the face of an angel. The cute, round cheeks, the full, kissable lips, the sparkling brown eyes; and the un-earthly glow that seemed to be about his head, Masaki was awe struck.
Masaki could see his angel’s lips moving as if they were trying to tell him something; but all he seemed to hear was a faint buzzing sound that wouldn’t leave his ears, so he gave his head a slight shake and blinked his eyes a few time before he could start to make out the words that had been floating in the air around him.
“Hey, you okay?” his angel asked, Masaki nodded his head up and down to let him know that yes he was indeed okay. Just as his angel offered him a hand to help pull him back into a sitting position Masaki saw Jun’s worried face loom over him.
“Masaki?” Came Jun worried voce, “are you okay, do we need to get you in to see the nurse?” Masaki blinked a few more times as he looked at Jun.
No, I don’t think so,” he said.
“Good,” Jun said as he reached and pulled Masaki into a sitting position. Masaki looked around and saw that a few more on Jun’s teammates had gathered around him. Just as Jun was helping him up to his feet he heard of them whisper that he was Jun’s boyfriend and that they should have been more careful.
“Boyfriend!” Masaki heard come out of the angelic looking boys mouth before he turned to Jun and him bowing. “I am so sorry Matsumoto, I didn’t know I knocked your boyfriend out and, I am also very sorry for hitting you with that ball… Umm…”
“It’s Aiba, Sakurai-kun” Jun said.
“Ahh, I am very sorry for hitting you with the ball Aiba-san.”
Masaki could help but let out a chuckle, “hey, it’s okay, I’m fine. I really should have been watching were I was going anyway.”
“Let’s get you back to school Masaki,” Jun said as he grabbed Masaki’s arm and started to lead him back.
Once they were out of hearing range from the rest of the team, Jun started lecturing Masaki for not watching his surroundings when he is out on the field. All Masaki could do was nod his head in agreement, even though he was not listening to what his friend was saying.
His mind was on the boy who had hit him with that soccer ball. Sakurai, was it? Masaki believed that is the name Jun called him by.
Jun watched his friend as he spaced out as they were walking back to the school, worried that Masaki might have gotten his head hit a bit harder than they thought Jun made the turn to the nurses office, noting that Masaki didn’t even seem to notice.

Sakurai Sho had a lot of things going for him, he was one of the school top student s and was handsome and he was centre forward on the soccer team. Everyone ether wanted to be him or wanted to be with him. Sho never was one really for dating; he knew he had better things to take care of with school and soccer. Also there was nobody he had had an interest in till now. When Sho had called out to the person to watch out for the stay ball he had kicked, he had not expected them to not pay attention and have the ball hit them in the head.
When Sho ran over to his fallen victim he saw most beautiful person ever. He knew that should not have been his first thought and quickly made sure that the young man who was lying in the dirt was okay.
Sho then saw that the young man’s eyes were opening; they looked a bit out of focus. Sho tried asking him if he was okay and at first all he received was a dazed look for an answer. He asked out more time and this time he got a nod in response. Just as Sho reached out his hand to help him up his team captain came running over.
“Masaki? Are you okay, do we need to get you in to see the nurse?” Sho watched as Jun help Maskai up and fuss over him. Their other teams meats had slowly started to gather around them to see what had happened. One of them nudged Sho is the side and said in a low voice. “Good job Sakurai, you just knocked out the captain’s boyfriend.”
Sho couldn’t help blurting out “Boyfriend!” when he heard that. His face was now blushing bright red at his sudden outburst. He turned to face his captain and said “I am so sorry Matsumoto, I didn’t know I knocked your boyfriend out and, I am also very sorry for hitting you with that ball… Umm…”
“It’s Aiba, Sakurai-kun” Jun said.
“Ahh, I am very sorry for hitting you with the ball Aiba-san.” Sho finished.
Aiba Masaki then let out a soft chuckle that made Sho weak in the knees, and then said it was okay and it wasn’t his fault. Sho watched as Jun then led Maskai back to school, and the only thought going through Sho’s mind at that moment was, Shit, I think I just fell for my captain’s boyfriend.

The pickle Masaki found himself in was not a good one. He wanted to get to know Jun’s teammate; but there was on small problem with that, Masaki was ‘dating’ Jun and that would not be good if he tried to seduce one of his boyfriend’s teammates.
He needed to come up with a plane to get Ninomiya to stop bugging Jun so he could that have the chance to go after Sakurai.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Jun, I need to talk to you.” Masaki said after class had ended. It had been a few days since he hand confronted Ninomiya and then had been hit in the head by a soccer ball. Jun looked up from the notes he was finishing and nodded his head.
Just as Masaki was going to start taking he noticed that half the class was now watched him and Jun, waiting for something to happen. Letting out a huff Masaki bent down and whispered to Jun to meet him on the roof in 20 minutes.
As Masaki made his way up to the roof he let his mind wander, he was going to tell Jun how he felt about Sakurai and maybe Jun could help him out. It was his fault in the first place that he was no longer single anyway, also Masaki thought that Jun so owed him now. Ninomiya was getting aggressive. What was once somewhat harmless pranks that he could ignore were now becoming somewhat of a problem. He didn’t know how an underclassmen could have such access to his stuff, Ninomiya was good that was sure; but Masaki was now starting to worry for his safety., That was another thing he wanted to talk to Jun about, Masaki was starting to think it would also be best to let a teacher know about the stalking before someone got hurt, and he was sure that if someone was to get hurt, it was going to be him.
As Masaki reached the door to the roof he pushed the door open a bit harder then he needed, letting out all his pent up feelings. What he did not expect was for the door to hit something and then hear a colorful sting of curse words come from behind it.
Masaki looked around the door to find the very person who had been occupying his thoughts as of late holding his hand to his nose that was now bleeding.
“Oh god, are you okay?” Masaki ran over trying to take a look at the damage that was done.
“’m fine,” came Sakurai’s muffled reply as he tried to open his bag to find something to help with the bleeding. Masaki was faster and was already handing him a hanky to hold up to his nose.
Masaki couldn’t believe his luck; the guy he was now crushing on was in front of him with a bloody nose that Masaki had given him himself. That last thing he had expected though was for Sakurai to start laughing.
Confused by the other sudden out bust Masaki waited it out till the other had calmed down before asking, “What was that all about?”
Sakurai was still taking deep breaths for his laughing fit but managed to talk.
“Don’t you think it’s funny? I hit you with a soccer ball and you now got your revenge.” Sakurai let out one more chuckle.
Masaki didn’t know what to think. To him, Sakurai had an odd sense of humor for laughing after getting hit in the face by a door, but his laugh was music to Masaki’s ears, dear god, I have it bad.
“I’m really sorry about your nose,” Masaki said to Sakurai who was still dabbing at it. The bleeding had slowed and Masaki was sure that it would be over soon.
“Don’t worry about it; think of it as us being even now.” Sakurai said. “we never been introduced to each other, Sakurai Sho.” Sho said as he gave a small bow.
“Ah, Aiba Masaki,” Masaki said bowing back. “So what it’s like having Jun as a captain?” God, Masaki really hated small talk at times.
Sho could feel in awkwardness in the air and choice to ignore it answering. “It’s fun, he can be a bit of a slave driver you know; but I can’t complain, we win most game because of that.”
Masaki nodded his head as Sho spoke, he know that Jun could be a hard ass. They stood there for a few moments, each on trying to find something to say to feel the empty air; but as luck would have it the roof door opened again, this time hitting Masaki in the back and pushing him into Sho who then stumbled and fell with Masaki following.
Masaki had his eyes closed after the push from the door made him fall into Sho. He was aware he was now lying on top of said person but what shocked him the most was the softness pressing against his lips. Slowly he opened his eyes to look down at Sho, who also had his eyes open and an unreadable expression across his face.
It was then that they both herd the click of a photo being taken.
Braking the kiss Masaki sat up and looked to see who could have taken the photo only to see Jun bent down holding his phone open and with a big grin on his face as he made the peace sign.
“Tch Ma-chan,” Jun started. “I come here to see my loving boyfriend as he has requested and I find him making out with my teammate, what am I to do?”
Masaki knew that Jun was just teasing him but on the other hand Sho did not and he looked like the word was going to end. He had just kissed his captains boyfriend, he was in for it now.
Masaki then realized he was still sitting on top of Sho and quickly got up, his face turning red.
Jun let out a laugh at the antics that were going on. Sho looked like the end of the world was going to happen and Masaki face was as red as a tomato.
“I am so sorry Captain; I didn’t mean to k-kiss your boyfriend.” Sho said as he bowed to Jun, prying that he would give him mercy.
What Sho did not expect to happen was for Jun to clap him on the back and tell him to get up. When Sho sat up he saw the very amused face of Jun and the bright red one of Masaki’s.
“Sho-kun,” Jun started, “don’t worried about it, Masaki and I are not really dating.”
“What?” Was all the Sho could get out. Masaki and Jun were not dating, then why did everyone else in the school say otherwise?
“Jun!” Exclaimed Masaki, not knowing what his friend was up to.
“Nope, I just asked a favor from Masaki to help me.” Jun said.
Sho sat there trying to figure out why someone would need to have a fake boyfriend. “Do, you mind if I ask why?” Sho finely said, wanting to know the answer.
“Long story short, I have a stalker and was hoping that by maybe having someone they would leave me alone.” Jun said. “Also, you guys make a cute couple.” Jun then held out his phone with the photo of them kissing.” And watched As Masaki’s face became red again and now Sho had chocking noises come from him.
“Jun-chan, please delete that photo,” Masaki whined, trying to give Jun his best puppy eyes.
“No way Masaki, this one is a keeper.” He then flipped the phone shut and tucked it back into his pocket. “So what did you want to talk about, I am a very busy man you know.” Jun said trying to sound cool, Masaki just rolled his eyes before he started telling Jun what had happened. In the end Sho decided he also wanted to help. He only reason for it was so he could be close to Masaki and Jun knew that. He wasn’t blind. The last few days Jun know that Sho was pining over someone and that it only started after he had hit Masaki with that ball. It wasn’t hard to put Two and two together. Jun also knew something was up with Masaki for the same reasons, and now he had made it his job to make sure they get together; but first they had to sort out one problem first, and the problem was named Ninomiya.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Masaki didn’t know how it happened but here they were, all on the soccer filed, in the rain with Ninomiya. If you asked, Masaki would have said it felt like some lame setting to the ending of a drama; but right now they had better trying to attend to then thinking about chesses TV shows.
Ninomiya was standing there, in the filed crying and no one knew what to do. Masaki felt sad for Ninomiya as Jun turned down any and all attempt Ninomiya through his way to try and get the other to date him. Masaki felt the rain go away and then could hear the sounds of it hitting an umbrella that was now held over his head. He felt a hand slip into his and bring it up; he looked over and saw Sho standing next to him. He watched as Sho brought his right hand that had a few bandages wrapped around it to his lips and gave it a kiss before lowering his hand again but not letting go. They watched as Ninomiya nodded his head to something Jun said and watched their underclassmen run off, leaving Jun standing alone.
Masaki thought back to the beginning of the school day. It hand started out fine. They had a plan in place to talk to Ninomiya that day with Jun and try to sort it out. They would give him one more chance before they would tell a teacher about what had been going on. It had been a few since that day of the school roof and Masaki and Sho had grown closer. As Masaki was still Jun boyfriend they didn’t doing anything to make people talk. Only meeting out for a few minutes at a tame but they swapped numbers and had been texting none stop, and now today was the day Masaki would be a free man again. He knew was planning on asking him out as soon as that happened and he could wait. What he did not expect was to reach into his desk later that day after classes had ended to grab his stuff only to yank his hand back trying not to cry out with the pain. Someone had put razors in his books just as he was finding something to wrap his hand in the door to the class room opened and Sho walked in. When he saw Masaki’s hand all cut up he rushed over and asked what happened. When Masaki told him he could see that Sho was not happy at all. Sho helped him grab his stuff and then took him to the nurse’s office where Sho made sure Masaki’s hand was taken care of.
When they saw what time it was they took off to the soccer filed to meet up with Jun. Once they got there Sho told Masaki he would be back in a bit and that there was something he needed to get. Masaki made his way out on the field were Jun was waiting.
They waited for five minutes before Ninomiya showed up. He had his arms crossed and a frown on his face.
That’s when Jun started to yell. Masaki watched as Ninomiya flinched back from Jun. Masaki then tapped Jun on his shoulder getting him to stop his ranting and to looking at him.
Masaki told Jun that he needed to calm down and not yeal, Jun took a deep breath and started talking. He told Ninomiya he was not interested and that he had only said he was dating Masaki to try and get him to stop stalking him. Masaki watched as Ninomiya’s face paled and then flushed with embarrassment. Masaki thought it best if he walked away and let Jun have his words with Ninomiya. It had only started to rain a few minutes before Sho showed back up. When they saw Ninomiya leave after Jun was done talking to him they called out to Jun and asked if everything was okay. Jun told them yes and head back first and that he wanted a few minutes alone. Masaki didn’t want to leave his friend in the rain but after Jun promised he would be coming in right after them did Masaki let Sho lead him away.
As they were walking Sho never let go of his hand and it gave Masaki and warm feeling inside.
“Hey, Masaki-kun,” Sho started, Masaki looked over to him. “Would you like to go out with me this Saturday?”
Masaki smiled and nodded his head.
“I would love to.”
