what a lovely picture. the part that got at me the most, that slammed hard and hurt was you that you were doing an age old ritual with yr mother as if it were any ol' common occurrance, despite the fact that the appearance of the comet IS rare...my mother and i don't speak. for many years now. i couldn't take the abuse anymore from almost babyhood. so me and my brothers walked away. but i think being female, i feel it more than they, maybe not. my husband lost his mother to leukemia at age five and she had already been declared a saint in the family, a combo patti smith and wendy darling and he misses her everyday, insists that his personality is made up partly by the loss of her.

yr seemingly contentment splattered across the stars last night and grabbed hold of that commet coming my way: i wrote you a letter. but i wrote it tommorrow, didn't i? weird timelines...

then,i got into a woman's place and wrote a slew of ya: little packets of friendship: light from that comet, if you will...

give it, what, a week? love robin
