It's not.... that's what MY post was about... I feel like bringing myself up is like bulldozing other people... it feels selfish to spend so much time and energy telling yourself you're good at stuff... but think about other people who have done this!! No one great has been sitting there saying, "yea, i can sing, but i'm not THAT good.."... everyone great has told themselves they are, if they haven't they're lying. I assure you.
You're great. You just have to push yourself. No one is amazing by accident.
ooooh rightio. well i dont think its bulldozing other ppl when you let yourself be all you can. and i dont think you lose friends if you do that. you just have to find a balance, help them, help yourself.
you can, depending on how the group dynamic works... if you put yourself in a competitive group work environment, then yea if you excell, you can be seen as a bulldozer... especially when there are people who intentionally oppose you to stop you from getting ahead... eg, Toby not learning his lines.. people who are afraid to get loud on stage etc... people who don't do their part of a group assignment... stuff like that...
I get get GET it! Well I say just do it in a gentle way. I mean, you can still tell them to shutup, shout louder, learn their lines, whatever, in a helpful way. Sometimes you need to say, look, its true what the teacher said, you're not doing it well enough. People have to deal with criticism once in a while, especially if they're doing a course for performance and all that. I thought you meant like mega attack for no reason sorta thing? umm... yeah, just be honest! Not brutal, just honest :)
