Yeah, today was primary election day. What a shame I had to choose the least offensive of the candidates. My friend Rico used to say, "If God wanted us to vote, She would be giving us candidates!" My friend Sarah helped me put words to what I am feeling about my daughter's visit: For 36 years I have been walking around with a held breath, something like an empty space in my chest. Seeing Brenda let me take another breath, filled that empty space. All I managed to tell her was that I never didn't love her. I hope she knew what I meant.
