untitled JUMP drabble

Takaki Yuya walked toward the JUMP’s dressing room slowly. As always their newest choreography turned out to be harder to him than to the others o he decided to stay a bit longer and practice more after everybody else went home. Three hours and repeating the dance routine at least three hundred times he finished the practicing for today and headed to their dressing room to take his stuff and go home as quick as possible.
When he reached the dressing room it turned out that not all his band mates went home already. Someone was staying behind as well to practice ‘Ganbare Let’s Go’ And it was no other than Chinen. Takaki smiled and he reached out his hand to push the door open more and step in when the smaller boy’s voice cracked. Chinen started again the song but he failed at the same note but he started again without hesitation.
Takaki stood at the door for minutes listening to the younger boy’s practicing. As the time passed the older boy’s heart clenched more and more. He heard as Chinen’s voice became more and more desperate to sing out that high pitched note clearly every time he forced himself to start again. Then Takaki couldn’t stand it anymore. He pushed open the door with big dash as if he would’ve reached the dressing room just now.
“Yuuyan!” Chinen turned off the player immediately and jumped from his seat but he had no time to wipe away the tears from his face too before the BEST member can see them.
“Chii…” Takaki said softly and stepped closer to the smallest member. “What’s wrong?”
“I can’t sing, Yuuyan… Not anymore…” the boy said and threw himself into Yuya’s arms bursting out in tears.
Takaki quickly hugged him closer to himself and caressed his hair reassuring.
“Don’t say this, Chii… You can sing! You’re one of the best singers in JUMP” Takaki said warm.
“It’s not true! Did you hear how I sang recently? I can’t sing those high notes any more, and my voice turned nasal… It’s ugly…” he hiccupped into the older boy’s shirt.
“Oh, Chii…” Takaki held tighter the crying boy. “It’s natural that your voice changing, mine too, Yabu’s too, even your beloved Ohno-san’s voice was changing too… But it doesn’t mean you can’t sing or you’re a worse singer then till now… And who cares others opinion, I’m your biggest fan and I love your voice!” Yuya said to cheer up Chinen.
“Hontou? You really think so that I still can sing?” Chinen asked and looked up at Takaki with hopeful eyes.
“Yeah, I’m sure!” Takaki nodded firmly and the smaller boy smiled at him gratefully. “Come on, let’s go. I buy you ice cream on the way home…”
They quickly grabbed their stuff and left behind the dressing room together with Chinen’s fears…

A/N: okay, I guess it has pretty much no sense but recently listened a lot JUMP no.1 and can't help but notice how much Chinen's voice changed. It's not it bother me but I thought about that how much pressure can be on them. he was praised to no end while he was 13 years old and have an extremely high pitched voice (though I guess it's not that surprising in young boys case...) and it must be really frustrating after they voice cracked and became more manly... And I think it was the same with Yabu too... Actually I love his current voice a lot but when he was young his voice was just like Chinen's (I'm sure you know that he sang those high pitched parts in NewS Nippon...) So I just thought it must be hard to them when they had enough problems with bearing idol-life when they are still kids...
(And by the way I wrote this during the weekly - damn boring - meeting at my workplace on Monday afternoon XD)
