Improving on perfection

Dec 11, 2006 21:20

I haven't been posting because I haven't been commenting on my friends' journals (although I have been reading them), so it doesn't seem fair to post and expect comments. So I won't feel a bit bad if no one comments on this entry, seriously. I just wanted to explain that I have done the hitherto supposed impossible ( Read more... )

I guess having been dead for 10 years
can lead to leaving a purple stain when
you throw up, poor thing...

well that sort of stupid little jest is all
that comes to mind but I wanted to say hello
and it is an interesting sort of thing to read
about the pillow, it is a real little story
but again cant think of anything good to say
except Hi and hope your Christmas(and your mom's)
is wonderful!

It must be a haunted pillow. :)

I hope your Christmas is wonderful too!

Not having commented on others' posts is no excuse for not posting!! ;-)

Really, though. We want to know what's up in your life, even if you haven't been commenting on other people's LJs.

Your pillow sounds heavenly.

Ah well, I haven't had a lot of free time to post, and my life is incredibly dull. Maybe I'll make an effort to post (and comment) more, though. :)

i understand about pillow. i, myself, am picky to the point of silliness about mine. currently (read: for the last five years) i've been using this thin, beat-up, half-filled feather pillow that i can bend and scrunch and fold up under my head. even though i bought one of those zippered cases for it, it's still leaking the occasional yellowish feather out into the bed. short of having it hermetically sealed in some way...

I love being able to punch my pillow into exactly the right shape. When I was in college I used to pull feathers out of the shredding corners of the case, but I stopped when I realized that if I kept it up, one day there would be no feathers left....

for awhile I had borrowed my sister's lambswool bed cover--under the sheets, it was delightful!

Also unwashable, and like your pillow badly infested with dust mites... and so that luxury didn't last.

Fortunately I don't have allergies (if I did, I'd probably be dead from pillowitis or something). Wow, a lambswool bed cover! That sounds heavenly! I think you can get stuff like that cleaned by a furrier, actually, but it's probably more expensive than it cost in the first place.

I didn't even think of getting it cleaned... by the time I realized it must be allergies, I was so miserable that I just wanted to be rid of it! But it was wonderfully comfortable... wonder where it ever got to... :)

Stuff like that tends to get put in the back of closets (where my wonderful pillow was found). It's too good to throw away, but unless the right person comes along to claim it, it's sort of useless too. :)

There you are! I've been wondering about you. And about your pillow. So now I'm all set on both counts.

My pillow and I are both doing well, thanks. :) You know, I think of you whenever I notice my Bumble the Abominable tree ornament. Possibly that should worry me.
