When I was 3 our family went up to visit another by the bay somewhere. I remember wandering off to the end of the dock and watching four teens messing around in air rafts and innertubes about a quarter mile away. I watched them intensely for a minute and I saw the girl get pushed off her raft by a boy and I KNEW I had to save her. I jumped off of the dock to save the girl, and not knowing how to swim, I sank like a rock. I desperately tried to cling to one of the poles that I remember held up the dock, but I was starting to lose my sight. Just as soon as I hit the bottom, a huge arm grabbed me and pulled me up onto the dock. That arm was my fathers. My mother had seen me jump from the living room window.
