Sims 3 help needed

My game won't start. :( I get to the part where I have to select my saved game & after I select this, it just loads indefinitely.

I do get the following message after I start up the game:

Nope, took out all my mods. I don't get that message anymore, but when I select my family (saved game) & click ok, it just doesn't load.

Delete your cache files from My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. There should be 4 files in there. Information about AM and other hacks/mods tends to hang around in those. Leave the folders alone, just delete the 4 files with the word Cache in the filename (CASPartCache, CompositorCache, ScriptCache and SimCompositorCache). Though if you have a folder called WorldCaches you will want to delete that, too.

I tried that & now it finally load; it just takes forever!

Before it just took 5 minutes, now it takes easily half an hour.
And I took out all the cc I installed since I played last, so I really don't know what's causing my game to run so slowly. *Sigh*

Hi, just stumbled upon your journal and I have the same problem. I took out all my CC and mods but it still did it.
It still works, but when it loads up it's just a black screen and then that pops up when I go to the desktop and open it back up.
I just click continue and it works fine.
