Oh, and I dare to ask, what a "zip-strip" is. My dictionary doesn't know it (how surprising... )and that's not the first time I see the word.

A zip-strip is like a cable tie, where you can slide one end into a catch on the other and pull it tight. A lot of police departments are using them in lieu of handcuffs now, since they can be tightened better, are cheap, and take up way less room.

Thanks for the answer. Police here doesn't have that, but it's used in some packaging (though one day, a kid, who I was baby-sitting, had tried to use it to bind his brother. Maybe it was a Jason at heart).
