Beat Fest 10: Hipp-E, Iz, and Kaskade all throwing down. Every house head in St. Louis jacking it. Need I say More?
My Birthday Party: Don Tinsley, Trevor, Josh Harrell; and 200 of my best friends getting down with cupcakes and deep house at the Pepper Lounge.
BEST DJ SET:
Robbie Hardkiss at Pepper Lounge.
Metro Area at Smart Bar.
BEST MIX CD:
This is a hard one, because 2004 was a disappointing year for commercial mixes. So the only nominee as of yet is the Derrick Carter/Mark Farina double disc; "Live At Om".
As far as NON-COMMERCIAL MIX CD'S go, the nominee is Trevor Matthews, "Will DJ For Food".
BEST ARTIST CD:
Sasha, "Involver". Mellow, dreamy, downtempo, and to the point. Not a drop of acid or trance in his soulful production.
