Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann - Special Comment
Click to viewI watched this and cried. I'm not usually one to have a firm stance on any political issue but this is the exception.
I found this video from here. Don't ask me how exactly I got there because I'm not entirely sure.
I know it all started with a conversation with someone from high school about the election and Prop 8. I'm not sure what happened to them over college but I'm guessing it had something to do with religion.
I'm not opposed to people being religious or finding religion. I'm just very opposed to people forcing their religious beliefs down my throat. I'm willing to listen to what you believe in, however, it's not my thing to believe. I have my thoughts, you have yours. Respect them. Pleasekthxs.
Anyway... back to this person. They decided to flame me about the fact that I didn't vote in this election as well as the fact that I oppose Prop 8. Yeah... they threw a lot of religious arguments at me to try to prove that I was wrong. Wasn't a happy person about it. So yeah. There's my story for today. Now back to the regularly scheduled paper.
I partly wish I was writing about gay rights instead of drug reps. I have so much more to say.
EDIT: Reading comments about this is getting to me. I should probably stop.
