THIS IS A TOKYO GAMES SHOW POST.

First I want to touch briefly on Devil May Cry 5, technically just DmC as it's a reboot of the series. I will honestly admit that I kind of liked the trailer, the graphics were nice, however I have never known Dante to actually have black hair, nor smoke. Then again, I really don't know Dante. I have never played the games, so I cannot say much about the game. It's being developed by Ninja Theory, who are the same developers who made Heavenly Sword and releasing their next game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I am actually looking forward to Enslaved based on what I saw at E3 and San Diego Comic Con.

I'm wondering what exactly they're going to do with this in general. I may have to actually play the Devil May Cry series in order to understand better why this seems out of character, or just plain old out of place.

So, unfortunately until I actually play the original series, I will have to withhold my judgment.

Also the image is reuploaded from This Thread because I couldn't stop laughing.

All of last night I was watching the EA live stream hoping that I'll hear about something new, and I did! Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami have joined forces under Grasshopper Manufacture to bring us Shadows of the Damned. I swear listening to Mikami and Suda talking about the game caused me to laugh so hard last night.

Personally I think they're trolling, but the trailer looks like it could be kind if fun. Mikami said it was one of "the greatest games I've ever worked on" and I am both terrified and wondering if I should agree with him on that.

It looks fun though, I'm not gonna lie.

If there is one game I am looking forward to, it would be American McGee's Alice coming back. The sequal, Madness Returns, is about Alice trying to discover her past. This leads her back to Wonderland (more like she was dragged back) and has to escape it's perils once again. There were several new weapons including her old knife, two which are a pepper grinder and a tea pot! It looks pretty amazing and I am totally stoked for it. I wish I had a copy of the original game.

But that's just from EA.

Capcom really disappointed me in their presentation. I guess cameras were not allowed during it, so we heard about the highlights during the conference. They announced some DLC for Dead Rising 2, Degeneration 2 (which was previously announced, but they touched on it), a new game: Asura's Wrath, and then DmC. There was over all disappointment with the Capcom announcements because it wasn't really anything new.

So then comes to today where I watched Sega, Sony, and Konami's live streams.

Sega, by far, took the show for me as of right now. They showed a trailer for Sonic Colors, which they previewed at E3 this year, touched base on Virtual On 4, busted out with Valkyria Chronicles 3, mother fucking Shining Hearts, and put Yakuza on the PSP complete with zombies.

Everything about Sega was win, even the crazy K-On game for the PSP.

Konami talked about Metal Gear solid Rising a lot. I mean a lot to the point where I was so distracted that I came back and they were still talking about it. They showed the trailer then showed some game play, After that it was the new Castlevania game. The trailer for that was pretty long, the game play even longer, and then the characters you encountered in the trailer. It was kind of boring, to be honest. I think they needed to better present themselves because I was more focused on Sega than on Konami during that time.

At first, one of the Sony live streams was bugging out really bad. They were discussing a limited edition PSP before the entire feed cut out. So we were following a live blog after that. Some of the updates included Final Fantasy Dissidia 2 including Lighting (now confirmed that Tifa and Celes are in the game), Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: Final Mix, Crazy Taxi for XBLA and PSN, Ni no Kuni by Studio Ghibli, HD Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Sly Cooper for the PS3, Gundam Musou 3, Project Dark (which we're all hoping is a new Demon Souls game), GT5, a new Dynasty Warriors game (possibly) or just a 10th Anniversary edition. Line up of God Eater, Tales of the World Narikiri Dungeoun3, Monster Hunter Portable 3, PSPortable Infinite 2, Patapon 3, White Knight PSP, a new God of War game, Tales of VS F, Little Big Planet 2, Vanquish, Trinity Souls ZoL, Armored Core V, Killzone 3, and like a ton more. Especially when they demoed PS Move shortly afterwards.

I have to say, I was unimpressed with the PS Move when they announced that Resident Evil 5 would be one of the titles for it. Personally the controls were a little too wonky for the game, but earlier in the EA live stream they announced Dead Space 2 Special Edition for the PS3 which included Dead Space: extraction with the PS Move that allowed drop in co-op. I'm thinking that will make things interesting, and my friend who was watching it at the time said it was pretty much flawless. The Move demonstration was actually really fun looking. From what I understand, some of the people testing the Move on stage were from the audience. It was accurate, and I'll admit that I am kind of looking forward to it.

That is, you know, if I actually get a PS3 in the near not now.

That's pretty much my over all impression of the TGS so far. I think we still have one more day to go, but I'm not sure if I'll be around to live stream it. I got too side tracked yesterday with the live stream professional Starcraft 2 tournament in Korea. I am still upset Idra lost, but he did play a good game in the last match. There were like FIVE FREAKEN BATTLES and it was just down right intense.

In the mean time I got some pretty good news today! I stopped by Gamestop today to see if I could track down the other two covers for the BioShock Infinite Gameinformer Magazine seeing as I got mine in the mail. Unfortunately they didn't have it (so I picked up Dead Space, Space Channel 5 -Part 2-, and preordered Marvel vs. Capcom 3.) and hung around the store with Evelyn and Dave (the assistant manager and the store manager). I feel great about this. Dave pretty much said I was on top of his list of people to hire, and I wouldn't just be temporary help IF I was hired. That made my day more than it should, and interviews start next Monday and Tuesday. I just have to keep my fingers crossed! Even if I don't get the job, I at least get to say I gave my all because I feel like I am.

I think we're grocery shopping tomorrow. Which is exciting because we have nothing in this condo and I am craving cooking something at home. As much as I like going out, I really also like eating at home.

That's pretty much it. Other then that, I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow so... I might just play some of those video games I own.
