Your bday story will be coming but don't hold your breath! I really feel the puppy will be good for us, I just hope he gets along with the other guys! Thats the big problem. Rory has been a little aggressive of late and Gracie is in heat. (yes, she will get spayed but I wasn't expecting her to go into heat this quickly) I guess we are all a bit hormonal. Luckily my neighbor (who is picking the pups up) said she will take Cooper if it doesn't work out with the other two. I so hope my little pack gets along well!

The puppy will make us all happy. As long as he and my girls get along!

He's adorable! Sometimes you've just gotta be spontaneous.

I walked past the pet shop in the mall one day and fell head-over-heels in love with a kitten in the window. I *needed* to take her home with me. So I did. Best decision ever - despite a 'voice of reason' explaining slowly and carefully to me why it wasn't a good idea! That voice is in full agreement with me nowadays, mind you!

You've obviously thought about this, you've never struck me as the kind of person who would do wrong by an animal, and if you think it's doable, then you go for it!

You are right about "need" and spontaneous. I feel we need a little store bought happiness. We should get him tomorrow and I hope to heck all hoes well.

Thanks! But most puppies are pretty damn cute! A little extra love is always a good thing!

Pets, especially dogs, can be tremendous sources of love and healing and support, especially in times of grief. And especially since you're used to taking care of multiple dogs, I don't think it would be too overwhelming for you. Just my two cents. :)

I don't think so either. As long as Rory and Gracie get along with the little guy. Bringing in a new puppy could be problematic. I sure hope all goes well tomorrow.
