I haven't posted in forever and I want everyone to know how much all of your kindness and gentle words and encouragment has helped. My life is still a clusterfuck. No other word for it. But my oldest is getting married this weekend. That is a joy and a celebration that will be bittersweet. No John to be with me. It sucks in that respect. So

It's good to hear about the horseback riding. I know how you horsey folk are about them critters. Coincidentally, Brian got on one of our horses today, and she did quite well, for not having been ridden in years and years. He asked me what I knew about horses (he was trying to get a bit in her mouth) and I said, "On the scale of horse people? Not that much. On the scale of a regular person? More than average." So that's me, congratulating you on getting back on the horse. More than average. :) Love ya, kid. *hugs*
ETA: Oh, and BTW: Intoabar signups are open again, until October 27th. Just sayin.

I love your horsey thoughts...
Thinking about the signups. I'm just not sure I can commit to it. Still, I managed to do it last time!

I don't have any prompts for you, but I did want to share the horse-squee, as I grew up in my teens and early twenties with horses of my own and working on a horse farm. We used to break mustangs that we'd adopt from the prairies out West. :-) I sometimes miss those days fiercely, but I know that I just don't have the time I'd need to properly care for a horse. (And the cost is nothing to sneeze at either, of course.)
Anyway, I'm so glad you're rediscovering your love of horses. They are incredibly therapeutic. I really think I survived my late teens largely because of them. I could go out to the barn and just rage, and Ty would just listen to me.
