Yup, that's what they said! But I've seen light refection exactly the same so I'm sticking to that theory :) However, dirt on the lens is even more appealing to me. However, I'm also tampering with theories of leprechauns and remains of Atlantis effecting their photo.

Maybe they're Atlantean lens-dirt. Arranged by ghosts. And leprechauns.

Don't give them more ideas to make excuses! :P
Oh, I forgot the alien excuse as well. Alien's disguised as pollen or dirt on the lens. And then there's the whole issue about how the lens got dirty, spirits obviously trying to send a message rather than write on a flat surface!
