Notes: Originally, it was gonna be something different. But I decided to make THIS my crack-pairing-fic.

I answer my cell on the second ring.
“Go.”
“We have a mission for you. This is you’re target. We want him neutralized.”
My phone shows a picture of a young man.
“You know the drill, what’s he done?”
I always have to ask.
They never volunteer.
And it's getting old.
If they want someone silenced, I need to know why.
Same thing if they only want someone scared a bit.
“He’s been getting in the way.”
Shaking my head, I reply “Not good enough.”
I can hear the other’s sigh.
“How about this, then? He’s being recruited by a rival group. If he joins, you’ll have to deal with him anyway. Why not take care of the problem now?”
It's the way he says ‘rival group’.
I know exactly who he means.
The Vipers.
They’ve been making a real nuisance of themselves lately.
Even managing to get in my way a few times.
“And if they haven’t succeeded?”
“We still want him taken care of. For any possible threat in the future.”
Damn.
I hate hurting innocents.
And if they only think he's being recruited, that makes him innocent.
Besides being cute.
Which is also a waste.
There just aren’t enough good-looking men around.
At least not many that aren’t already associated with one group or another.
“What’s your answer, Agent?”
“Accepted”
But not the way you mean, I think to myself.
“A package with all the information is on its way.”
And then the connection goes dead.
They’ll think I’m going to kill him.
Just under the suspicion of being recruited by people I’ve come to hate.
But what if I recruit him instead?
That opens a whole new door of possibilities.
Besides, they’re the ones that want me to train others.
Maybe even take on a partner.
Why not start with him?
