Instead of being that girl who will do everything to make that guy happy, maybe you should work on being that girl who will do everything (within reason) to make herself happy. That probably sounded harsh but I really couldn't think of another way to phrase it and I hope you don't take it in a harsh way. I'm sure you're thinking, "But his happiness IS my happiness" and that's fine and dandy, to a point
( ... )
I wrote all of that when I was feeling really down - especially after he tossed the 'just friends' label onto us. Everything you said sounds just like me, and I'm trying to get over the fact that I don't need him. I know I'm everything a guy should want and I'm determined to show him [without telling him directly] that I'm worth his time.
If he doesn't call me, ask me to hang out, or even take a longer path to class just to see me... then he's out of my sight and out of mind. I'm sick of wondering when he's going to call or what he's up to or if he even cares. I am a Princess - a strong willed one, too.
Thank you so much for this... you've literally helped me in so many ways. I wish I could say more, but wow... this HELPS. :)
