I'm really sorry you are going through such a hard time right. I recently changed jobs and it changed my entire life. Having a sucko job is exhausting, plus it puts a real damper on your everyday life. I hope things turn around for you soon. *hugs*

Thanks. It's one of those things where my husband keeps saying things will be better "soon enough" but soon enough isn't really. It will get better. It just sucks in the meantime.

Have you considered Education consulting? That might let you use your current resume, yet lay the foundation for getting away from Education in the future. Also, dealing with administrators rather than teachers, kids, parents.

Alternatively, education grant writing.

My company hires bunches of both, and for very good pay.

I don't know if I'd be qualified for education consulting or grant writing. (And the administrators are as bad if not worse than the day to day interactions.) I don't have any idea what would even be expected of a person in those positions. I've only got the associates degree and 6+ years of classroom experience, no formal training in education or educational theory. (And my experience-based observations are barely acknowledged by the people I work with, with a few very wonderful exceptions.)

I quite honestly just have no idea what to do with myself.

You're qualified, though you may want to make it a goal to get your Bachelor's Degree. It's getting harder and harder to get a job without one.
