Glee
I really enjoy GLEE. The storylines have been a little... shaky, at times, I suppose, but there's just enough balance of great characters and good singing to keep me happy. And every once in a while they throw something in that isn't completely preposterous, that doesn't feel forced, and that absolutely slaps you in the face and really allows the ( Read more... ) -

Mental
Took a mental health day today.
Don't think it did my mental health all that much good.
Got no writing done.
Got no anything done. (Not true: I ran the dishwasher.)
Wishing I didn't have to go back to work in the morning.
Correction: Wishing I didn't have to go back to work ever. -
Now I'm confused...
So Experian sends a letter saying I need to resend everything, then sends me the credit report and confirmation that deceased notices are on Dave's Mom and Dad's credit reports.
I'm confused. -
Estate Stuff
We found out that the $330k IRS bill is purportedly due to Dad selling off a bunch of stock Mom owned in the 2 years after she died. He may or may not have claimed this on his taxes (which I can't find in the house, although I haven't had full run of the house, because everything is done in little bursts and in specific little sections, which would ( Read more... ) -
Argh.
Where to begin?
- Dave is appointed administrator.
- We got the official certified paper from the surrogate court stating such.
- We set up an estate account at our bank.
- We went to one of his dad's banks.
- The accounts are all in Dad & Mom's names, and there is an "estate of Mom" account with Dad as executor.

Vacay
This summer was totally filled with vacationy goodness... which is apparently how we roll when we have no money, lol... Still waiting for the legal stuff to sort itself out with Dave's Dad's estate, so we were able to vacation worry free, since there's jack-sh!t we could've done while we were away ( Read more... ) -

The plumber is coming tomorrow!
