Subliminal bears (which are terrifying creatures) are a sort-of inside joke, stemming from an example given last semester by my Psych professor when explaining emotions. Yesterday I looked up "bear" in Russian. It may or may not be the case that Russian bears are more terrifying than regular bears, and Subliminal Russian Bears may or may not secretly be snipers.
