MAN this is like, one of the most perfect fics i have EVER read, and its in my new favorite fandom too!! oh god i am all about the emo-untrusting-street rat and his lovable savior! how did you know that? ARE YOU PSYCHIC? you have to keep writing so i can find out if you are as psychic as i think you are! so damn sexy! *sigh* and Esca terrified of Marcus' revenge? god that was good. it was ALL so good! Even the opening cutting scene was believable (so ungodly rare that cutting is done even close to non-ridiculously, let alone well!)--and dare i say it?-- sexy as hell. God, soccer players and romans and slaves, who knew?

Hopefully my cutting back and forth will stay believable. I'm glad you liked the opening cut scene. I've never written anything resembling intimate sequences before so I'm not sure whether I pulled it off or whether it just sounded silly...

absolutely nothing about this struck me as silly or awkward or out of place! and something almost always does :D By intimate do you mean the past moments between Marcus and Esca? cause they were adorable, but i feel a lot of the present scenes of them are pretty intimate too! I love Marcus trying to figure out why Esca is still wearing his clothing, and Esca stubbornly stripping even though he'll be naked and doesn't understand what Marcus wants-- le sigh, the adorkableness!

this is so awesome, one of the best fics of them out there :)) first i was a bit reluctant (what ? soccer ? Oo?..), but when i began reading, i was hooked :)

poor esca - life is so mean to him ;/ but i like that marcus knows him now and esca has this flashbacks to their former roman/briton-selfes :))

please update soon ? *begging* i can't wait for more :)))
