Ooof. This is fantastically loaded. I love your Marcus and his niceness. I'm curious if Marcus remembers their past life as well or if its just his subconscious telling him to protect and take care of Esca.

I just read all three chapters in one go and I absolutely love this!! My heart aches for Esca and I love how nice and caring Marcus is. I also really enjoy the flashbacks to the life of Roman era Marcus and Esca.

The flashbacks are the easiest part to write despite the fact that I specifically started a modern AU because I couldn't manage to write canon era fic. :/
