Ambivalent = two or more conflicting emotions about a subject. You should not trust google for definitions :-)

And yeah, it's all going insane. It's like, life forgot to pack in a whole heap of stuff at the beginning of the year and is desperately packing it in like it's got 30minutes till the last train leaves town.

I think it's good that you got out of your job though, seeing as though it was making you so tired/seemed to be getting you down so much, and I guess at least it gives you more time to focus on getting that degree.
