Beat me to it, these are excellent. Makes me want to get a Pentax since I don't have a full range of f stops on my D40.

I shoot with Nikon now. What do you mean you don't have the full range?

My bad, I mistook exposure comp on my d40 which increases or decreases in increments of 3 with the aperture, which on my kit lens is 3.5 at its widest, I just need a lens with a wider aperture for low light situations, at least I think I do.

get the nikkor 35 1.8, it's super cheap($200) and a great starter prime lens. getting a fast prime is one of the best things you can do for your photography.

i'm so lost looking at your pictures now! i used to identify all the houston in your pictures. they're disorienting now. had to save the one of the guy in the crowd with the shakespearian reach. beautiful work.
