Still Alive

I;m still living life, just not well. Eyes are probably as good as they're going to get which is far from optimal. Went to visit Al and Dex to prove I can still navigate airports (not well), Have been going to concerts, so I hve been enjoying music. I just can't fully experience the spectacle. Saw Red Hot Chile Peppers, Adam Ant, English Beat,

Eyes are probably as good as they're going to get

That's what I was telling myself 5 years ago. Then I found the right eye doctor, and everything changed. Thankful every day now that I didn't give up.

I will be seeing a soecilist in the near future. My doc thinks she could improve clarity. In addition I let my doc know that if there are any clinical trials iut there to definitely keep me in mind. U heard a talk from a Harvard doc who has had success in regrowing optic nerves.

You have no idea how happy I am to be hearing from you after all this time! *big bear hugs* I was thinking about you not too long ago as I cleaning out contacts on my phone. So many furry friends had passed on during the last decade. I saw your name and wondered how you were doing. I know you had some health issues 20 years ago and hoped that you were stull alive and kicking. Your comments lets me know that you're still with us. I hope we can meet again at some point in the future. I still can't watch "Napolean Dynamite" without thinking about you doing the Vote For Pedro dance in fursuit. *smiles*

Appreciatin' your update! It's good that you are mobile, and perhaps the words of A Shetland Pony can be helpful and inspirational sometime down the road if possible... in the meantime, wishing you the best and that you can stay active!

Did the surgery make things worse or just promise more than it delivered? I’ve had my own run in with surgery that did not work out as hoped, it’s a depressing experience :/
It might pay to seek out a different doctor to get another opinion if things can be improved.

Glad to hear otherwise you’re still here and doing okay, was getting worried after such a long absence. Hopefully the retirement gets back on track towards enjoyment.

The surgery did what it was supposed to do in controlng pressure. If there was already damage, the surgery wouldn't fix that. I just have to develop new coping methods.
