Wow!

I am a different person than I was even a month ago. I feel GREAT! I have energy (thanks to the iron pills and amgen injections), I have not gained too much weight with regaining control (mostly) of my bloodsugars (still working on that), am seeing a psychiatrist again and adjusting meds so I'm not crippled by depression or insomnia, and working ( Read more... )

Got gout? LOL. That's my newest thing -- right foot (first knuckle of the big toe and my ankle). The whole thing swells up, is hot to the touch, is rashed up to my mid calf, and hurts to walk on. Have to put it up over my heart for several hours (sometimes a few days) to get it to go down. At first they weren't sure what it was -- but now I've had a second "break out" of it -- I'm pretty sure. (It's usually caused by uremia.) In my case, since I know I'm already uremic, it seems to be "triggered" by over-activity. First time was Winter Solstice, as I'd spent several days cleaning and re-organizing the house before-hand. This week I tried to pace myself -- took down Xmas decs. and cleaned out the washroom. Kitchen still looks more like a garage at the moment... :-) But the long hours of activity ended up putting me to bed for most of today with the foot. (And tired, too.) I know they have treatments for it -- so another note to remember to send the doc ( ... )

I wanted to respond to the sleepily "day" dreaming instead of sleeping.

That is what I call reverie - which when I looked up the correct spelling, it means daydream :) = a state of idle and pleasant contemplation.

The point I'm making, is that as a spiritual person, I sometimes get more rest!! when using reverie then sometimes when actually sleeping. I find that you are in what I call "God State" or "Higher Self State" when you use reverie, which is why I think you get more "rest" than sleeping. :)

If I was to get silly, this is what they/me consider the elves to do in RPG's when they rest. And if you watch StarGate, this is what Tilc does when he uses his candles. (in my opinion of course)

Thought I would share that.....

Reverie! Yes, and yes to Til'c. Contemplation is another form of the same. Very restful, very much higher self state.

YAY! I'm glad you're feeling so much better, it's amazing what an end to chronic pain can do.

Well, not an end exactly. But definitely a respite. And drugs are goooood. The doctor is so nice to give them to me! :-) LOL
