The definition of a "career woman."

Since when is a "career woman" someone with a college degree who makes more than $30k/yr? That seems like a pretty low threshhold...

i find this a poorly written article. first he talks about how career "girls" (which raised my hackles something fierce. we're not women? just girls? fuck you buddy. there is no way, after that comment that i can take you seriously), are bad for marriage, but then when he gets down to specifics it becomes "individuals" and "educated people", not specifically women, although you know he's implying it since the article is directed at men. and i found his argument far too general and cursory to be making such a statement. "career girls ruin marriage". that's almost as bad as "same-sex marriage will ruin the institution of marriage". pathetic.

also interesting is that some of his arguments i've read before! (in Faderman's book Surpassing the Love of Men), they're the same arguments given in the late 1700s for why women should not be allowed jobs. they'll meet someone they like better than you? maybe that's because you never pick up the vaccum, which is also why your house is dirty! you fat stupid bastard!
