I take a graphic novel and comic book class, which of course we read this novel. It was one of my favorites because it is so packed with ideas and something at large. John was my overall favorite character. The way he viewed the world was just passive and to see that, to experience it from text the way he was portrayed is always a pleasure. My second favorite character was The Comedian. He may have been a character not particularly fully expressed because he was dead, he still left powerful impressions with his past actions and in fact, his name itself.

As for the movie. It wasn't too bad. I felt that although the characters weren't well known, they were perfect. To me, every actor matched their character...except for Sally Jupiter...I wanted that mullet in the movie. Heh. But anyways...the others were fitting to their characters and stayed true. That was enjoyable.

thanks for the review. When I first saw a trailer for it I was excited. Then I heard that the original creator was so unhappy with the way the movie was being portrayed that he pulled out of the project and removed his name from the credits. given what you have said though, I am again intreigued. I'll probably try to go see it. Thanks again.
