So I didn't really sleep much last night. I was on an air mattress on the floor in front of a window facing full north. Exciting. I moved the bed as far towards the cetner of the space between the two windows scared out of my mind that the windows would go and i'd be cut to ribbons. We started having off and on power about 1:30 and it finally went

Everything is mostly okay up here in Huntsville. A lot of downed trees. (You may have heard on the news about the woman who had a tree fall on her bedroom and she died. That was in Elkins Lake evidently.) No flooding thankfully, but the power is out everywhere except campus, the prison (I'm assuming), and the Farmhouse restaurant. I think Dr. Adams says the owner has a generator; either way he must be making lots of $!

I'm glad you're safe, hon. How're your parents? I heard they wanted Alvin to evacuate so are they ok?

My parents and my sister are fine. They evacuated to Bryan where my grandparents are. They're back home now, working to fix the damage.
