Has anyone else wandered into LJ communities and discovered old fan fiction writers you used to follow YEARS ago (on a different forum or website) or online people you used to talk to? I swear LJ is great! Blogs and communities are breathing life back into some semi-defunct fandoms.

I've always wondered why people go and lounge on the grass in front of Parliament... that is until I did it myself this weekend. You know, it's really comfortable. And with the beautiful weather we had this weekend it was the perfect place to waste away the afternoon. Plus, the tourists mingling on the Greens with me kept me amused. Oh, tourists!

So, during the month of May I have managed to go through S1-S4 (all episodes) and half of S5. I'm completely addicted and totally unrepentant. I'm sorry to all you poo-pooers of Xena, but the show is bloody fantastic! Or at least it is to me ( Read more... )

I was walking by Fairweathers and there was a sign in the window that made me giggle. It said:

Considering I was walking through the business/government sector of Ottawa it was totally appropriate!

So, I was reading sunny_serenity fic Proof (which must be read) and she said something that just made me laugh so hard.

Janice and I spent all Friday night and a good portion of Saturday morning watching Xena DVDs. The conclusion we came up with is that the Xena producers really, really liked their dramatic scene closers. Yeah, I know... I've joined the addicted masses to soduko. It's evil! Never start a game, it pulls you in like there is no tomorrow. And if you must start a game, please print the thing off and do it quietly at your desk. The worst thing is to see it on your computer screen when your boss is sitting behind you! lol.

Do go see Kinky Boots! It's a really good movie with a killer soundtrack! Here's a quick link to some movie info on IMDb. Really, worth spending your money on.
