Band Ownership?

Something's been irritating me lately... Band ownership. Its really annoying me how people claim ownership to bands. Then they get mad at people for listening to that band. Its like calling them a poser. Yeah, I'm still using that term, because its a good term. Anyway, if someone claimed Feels Like Falling for themself, and wouldn't let anyone else

I agree, to an extent, bands want to be spread, and I do tell select people about bands that I listen to, I just don't like sharing them with kids who can't share the wealth and tell me a band to listen to, or if they only get bands from people that talk about them, especially if the people that talk about them didn't even tell them to listen. I hate know-it-alls. They suck. I want to sock 'em one right in the face.

One of the most irritating things, is when the person that "steals" the band doesn't even listen to that type of music, or has dissed them in the past.

Dude, I totally get what ur saying, but it does irk me that Nick has to listen to everything I listen to, and acts all obsessed with Conor. I'm all like, "Yo, dude, I totally fell in love with him before you!" [~::TOTALLY KIDDING::~]

Brian I agree with you.

Black Sabbath is my favorite band....the band was created over 19 years before I was born. I know a ton about the band...but Ill tell someone something at an appropriate time. Im not just gonna blurt out all the names of their album, that they used to be a blues band, how "Geezer" Butler got his nickname, etc...

And about your people mad at you...
I dont get it. Your never a cock and like, "no their my band."
Their probably some stupid skullfucks that brag about having
both Thursday CDs, and dont even know you. You always tell me
about bands that are amazing and what I should buy.
You listen to a lot of bands, and know a lot about them, but
you dont blab out all the facts cuz you know you dont need
to impress people like those jackasses with their heads up

honestly, i'm like that. i'm extremely over pretected about my music and it makes me look arrogant. most of the bands i liked would eventually end up on mtv and then everyone would be into them..it just pissed me off because kids think that they are cool or something because they heard a band on mtv and decided to jump on the band wagon. sure people can like what they want to like..but they should atleast do it for the right reason, and not because "omg the lead singer is so hot" thats the shit that drives me crazy.
