Good thing:
A fabulous new haircut courtesy of Nobu (the hipster hairstylist, not the chef)

Bad thing:
Being woken up at 2:00am by your carbon monoxide alarm--not because there's a high level of carbon monoxide in your apartment, but rather because the batteries need to be replaced.

Perhaps I should take this opportunity to clean the bathroom...

My smoke alarm did the same thing in the middle of the night the other day and nearly scared me to death. Nevermind replacing the batteries, that shitty thing goes off so frequently I just permanently removed the batteries. (Shh, don't tell.)

Fabulous new haircut! I want to see~ (Getting used to a possibly-fabulous new haircut here, too, but maybe I just need to wash my damn hair.)

Love,
Karen

I wouldn't have been so pissed about the alarm thing if I wasn't in the middle of a "I can't sleep through the night" marathon. At least I know that the alarm will now work properly because it has fresh new batteries.

Hopefully I'll have some photos later this week cause I'm sure that my parents will be taking pictures when they're here. (I wanted to have some today, but my friend didn't bring her camera.)

I know what you mean. It's always something going off or neighbors making a ruckus when you've just barely gotten to sleep...and it's up all night, again!

Meant to tell you--I've recently discovered the greatness that is "What Not to Wear," except for their continual forcing of high heeled shoes on women, and they are looking for three friends who want makeovers before their high school reunion. We should do iiittt. Next year, of course. Not that I really want to go back to Paly ever again, but you know...can't help it.

Ah yes, the American WTNW. (Still doesn't beat the BBC version; Susannah and Trinny are much better hosts.) I work down the street from Nick's salon. Once I saw him walking out of it, probably in search of coffee and cigarettes. I also sat next to Stacy in a cafe in Park Slope. I looked like crap (just walked the entire perimeter of Prospect Park), but she looked fabulous.
