His email is definitely a "oh woe is me" sort of crap. Your response was great! You pretended like you didn't catch any of that, and that's good. He's just playing a victim. But frankly, if you hadn't come out, I have a feeling that he would act like coming down to see you was an inconvenience... just because he's playing that act anyway.

If you don't see him, it'll be easier for you. But if you do see him, hopefully he'll just chill out and be ok... hopefully having a stranger around will make him nicer!

you're right. It's just the way he is. He's definately pulled this crap on me in the past before coming out.

I'm pretty happy with my response. I want him to see this isn't an aggresive trip. I'm not trying to attack him. I think he'll relax closer to the date. I know he does miss me and wants to see me. He just doesn't know any other way to act. And that's lame.
