"Dwarfs are very upsetting..."

Kind of a scary/awesome dream.

It started out as another camp-related dream. I was in a day-care type place, and we were still setting up for the arrival of the kids, but Mara, who was one of my campers from last summer, got there early and was demanding attention and stuff. So I was like, hey, do you want to look through my old drawings with me, and she was like, "Well, okay, if there's nothing better to do," so we did, and I was looking for drawings to put up but I was worried that maybe I'd drawn things inappropriate for her age and I didn't want her to see those if I had, and she was making fun of my drawings and yeah. And then there was a plot twist.

Angry flesh-eating robots started attacking, and the world's superheroes had to figure out a way to stop them. My dream was following this guy whose name I can't remember--it started with a P--and his power was super-speed. He was also science-smart. Anyway, he was running around trying to take care of the robots, but there were too many of them and he was starting to get tired. The robots were smart, too, and they knew all about the one secret weapon the superheroes had used against them before, and they knew not to let the heroes get to it. They called it a "poison" or something, and it was some kind of nanotechnology (I think) that would eat away the robots' capacity for rebellion against the humans and make them conform to Asimov's robot rules. Uh, anyway, yeah. Bad robots vs. Superheroes. Oh, and the robots could eat flesh because humans had invented technology that allowed non-biological things to consume and convert proteins to suit their own needs, like real organic creatures eat things and then incorporate those materials into their own bodies. Yeah.

So my super-fast hero guy was getting run down, and somehow everyone was starting to turn on him, and finally he got fed up with it and ran out into the street and started letting the robots attack him. It was very dramatic and painful to watch, and just when the robots landed the killing blow--and for a moment I thought his death had made the robots stop--he showed up unharmed and just as wise-cracking as ever, and the robots were all defeated somehow, and then he revealed that he'd stabbed something electronic underneath the road and that had destroyed the robots' ability to fight.

But a hero's work is never done. Now the heroes had to deal with all the villains that had taken advantage of the confusion to run amok in the city, so my hero guy called his sidekick, Kid Lightning, because he needed someone who could run like him, and they went around catching bad-guys and all. And they caught these tiny bad-guy people and trapped them in a little wooden box, but they were vicious and were kicking at the box and they were sure to escape, so then the hero was like, "Maybe drowning them in whiskey will calm them down!" so he poured whiskey through the crack between the box and the lid, and the tiny bad-guys stopped momentarily, but then they started breaking free again, so then the hero was like, "What about liquid dish soap?" And he said something about how the dish soap would go right to their brains and incapacitate them, so then he poured liquid dish soap into the box, and it seemed to be working, but then they started moving again, so then he kept doing it.

Yeah, I don't know what happened after that.
